Amanda and Eric Griggs, Doctors of Chiropractic

Dr. Amanda Griggs, D.C.,D.I.C.C.P. is a Kansas native and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS. She continued her education in Davenport, Iowa at chiropractic’s founding school, Palmer College of Chiropractic. During her time at Palmer, she was involved as a student intern in the Academic Health Center, clinic teaching assistant and a teaching assistance for research as well as a class representative for the Palmer Student Alumni Foundation. Dr. Amanda is the only Doctor of Chiropractic in Cedar Rapids that is board certified in pediatrics and pregnant patients by the ICA and ACA. Dr. Amanda is also Webster Certified by the ICPA.

Dr. Eric Griggs, D.C. is from Cedar Rapids, Iowa and received his Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree from The University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA. He attended chiropractic’s founding school, Palmer College of Chiropractic, in Davenport, IA. While at Palmer he was involved as a student intern in the Academic Health Center, Student Health Clinic, Outreach Health Clinic, Pediatrics Club, and Sports Council. Dr. Griggs enjoyed enhancing athletic performance and promoting physical fitness in the community while in the Sports Council.

As interns, Drs. Amanda and Eric Griggs met on a mission trip to the country of Brazil.  Dr. Amanda worked in Salvador, a city of three million on the east coast of Brazil and Dr. Eric traveled to many villages in the interior of Brazil.  While in Salvador, Dr. Amanda adjusted many children in orphanages and hospitals who have little or no access to health care.  Dr.Eric adjusted many families who lived too far away from major cities to travel for care. This was an unforgettable experience and they hope to have the opportunity to travel with chiropractic students on future clinic abroad missions.

Drs. Amanda and Eric Griggs moved back to Cedar Rapids in January of 2019 after spending 10 years in Northwest Kansas where they opened chiropractic practices in Colby and Goodland, KS . In April of 2019 Drs. Griggs purchased Chiropractic Health Care Associates. Their three boys Aidan, Rhys, and Tommy attend Xavier Schools, as well as their daughter, Quinn. In 2022 Drs. Griggs welcomed their fourth son, Mikey. He can be seen playing around the office and helping grandma at the front desk.
